Alternate Brian Wilson Presents Smile

A great version of Smile presented in 3 movements. This one is particularly great for having plenty of studio talking in it (mixed perfectly and appropriately of course), humor and mixing songs of the same key into each other creating a mix of smile that is far more creative than any I've heard before. He also took a note from Stephen Newcombe's cover of Surf's Up (you'll hear what I mean). I know you'll love this version of Smile, so go ahead and download it.

Also, you can view Alternate Brian Wilson's myspace here.

I really like the version of GV on this one, even though it could be cleaned up a little more.

I clean and I clean and I clean and it's just never enough!

Fantastic...really. One of the best and most complete I've ever heard (love the added spoken bits/humour).
Currently half way through the Americana suite so haven't listened through the whole piece (despite my earlier comments!).
Has anyone found the original link from Wonderful to Song for Children, or was that only really added in the Brian Wilson Presents Smile sessions?

Thanks for sharing.

AltBW,

You have any art for this?

Is anyone willing to create some?

When I give a hard copy to someone, I've always just used the regular smile artwork. If there's a visual artist out there who wants to take a crack at it, I'd love to see it.

Well, Eric, it looks like the "powers that be" finally caught up to me on mypsace...but I'll be back and, thanks to you and a few others, the mix is still out there. Thanks!

Thank you for posting this. I've this for a while on a cdr I burned it too, but the cdr has become unreliable recently. So thank you very much. I love this version like a lot.

I'd love to hear it.

Thanks.

I know this was posted many moons ago but I am hoping somehow to find a link for this somewhere that works. Any chance this is still available? Fingers crossed...
